The last few days while I recover from my face scabs, I've been painting. First I painted a couple of random things in my mind, then the grandkids and then Mike, before long I was thinking it would be neat to paint the whole family and make a collage to hang on the wall in the family room. Mike ran to the art store and bought me more canvas and this is it.. I did it...each individual picture is 8x10 and there are a total of 9. I am not trying to make a perfect likeness, but just enjoy trying to capture some aspect of the family I love so much. I got on a roll and before I knew it I had painted everyone. I am going to make a few adjustments to some of them, but my rule is to not over think it, but to instead enjoy what is coming out at the moment. I don't want to go psycho perfectionistic. Which I could do if I let myself and it would ruin the fun of it.

It is fun trying something new and creative. I am going to keep at it and see what happens, but one thing is for sure, I love doing it...it relaxes me and I find that I can do it for hours and the time just flies by. It's a time for God and me, I end up praying, singing songs I love, thinking, and dreaming of new things to try and do. All that to say, the last couple of days while my face heals from the skin cancer treatment, I have had a most relaxing time enjoying a new found love of painting.

Mike says that I should not post pictures of my scabby face....it's a public service really!
