This morning I came down the stairs and found Mike asleep in a chair, in fact he is still there. It's hard for him to sleep long periods of time. He feels hungry and can't eat much, and then he is struggling with not choking on his own saliva. He grabs sleep when he can and eats what he can get down. He is pretty much limited to soggy Crispix cereal and chocolate protein shakes. Yesterday we went to my nephew Colton's baseball game. We didn't stay long, but it was fun to do something normal. The Lord is answering your prayers. Mike is still managing the pain without pain medication, he has only lost 4 pounds, our spirits are good and we have peace. Cancer has taken us here, but has not taken over our lives. It is just a momentary bump in our lives that we are getting through together with the strength and guiding hand of the Lord. We are happy and enjoying each other, and this time that we have together while we are both off work. Really there are blessings in everything if we just open our eyes and see them.
Have a great day!
Love, Susan

You don't know me, but I have seen you at Hope Chapel and know about all the great things you have done and are doing.
Just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers as you go through this "momentary bump" in your lives. Thanks for the prayer list. It really helps in knowing where to focus.
Keep trusting and find rest in the Lord. He will NEVER forsake you.
Keeping the Faith,

Keep the FAITH!!! You are so right about finding the good in everything! We are another Maui couple who moved to California for treatment of cancer. My husband was diagnosed with esophageal cancer last June and we came right away for treatment in Southern Califronia. I'll be praying for you and your husband!! The Lord is good. vivoalive@blogspot.com
