I'm excited and waiting for the call that Lauren is in labor and our grandchild is on the way. Every time a phone rings I wonder if it's them and rush to pick it up.
Normally I'm not one of those people that runs for the phone every time it rings or grabs every phone call. In fact I ignore it a great deal of the time. I don't enjoy being a slave to a little piece of technology that is always commanding my attention. It was around the time of my first cell phone 9 years ago that I began to feel overwhelmed by the sound of so the ring. The house phone and my cell phone can both be ringing at the same time, not to mention Mike's cell, and then there is the call waiting or incoming text! So in theory I could be talking on the phone with one person in my home and there are three other ringing phones. Yikes! does that spell stress to you? I am rebelling against the run to the ring! I rebel against call waiting or picking up when I'm with someone else
So when do I pick it up? When I am not busy, alone and can sit down and give my full attention. Anyway all that to say that I am behaving in a way that is out of character for me and joining the masses of phone ring rushers, waiting for the call that Lauren is in labor. Yesterday was her official due date. Our new yet to be seen grandson is taking his perfect time to enter the world. We are praying for an easy and smooth delivery. Please pray with us.
