The tree is up and Mike and I are loving listening to music and sitting by our tree. Yesterday Mike cracked walnuts, almonds roasted in the oven, and I painted while it drizzled outside. A perfect and relaxing day.
A few months ago we got rid of the T.V in the family room. At first we talked about getting a big screen television, but as time has gone on we have found reasons not to spend the money. It's been a great thing not having the TV. We talk more, we are reading more, and spending more time together. It's a relationship builder! It's amazing how much time I was drawn away from life with that thing on and I didn't even watch it that much. We are more creative and enjoying life more without the distraction. Hence the beginning of painting for me. I did this yesterday....I am trusting that with consistent practice that I will get better, but really the real fun is in the process and how relaxing it is for me to see something in my head come to life.
We pray that you too are enjoying a relaxing and wonderful celebration of Christ's birth this week!
On the skin cancer treatment front....ouch.my face is getting raw around my nose and eyes with little raw spots popping up all over my face. How attractive!
