Good report

We went to Stanford yesterday for my check-up. We got a great report, everything was clear. Thank you Lord!!

It is a surreal experience walking back into the cancer center. This place where for months I was just able to put one foot in front of the other not really aware of the world around me. Now I walk in there, fully coherent and feeling strong but I see the other patients with their eyes closed, head down sitting and waiting for their treatment to be done for that day. I know their pain and there is nothing I can do for them. If I could speak to each of them I would say "hang in there" and pray! Prayer was so important to me during those days (not saying that it isn't still). But not big fat heavy long prayers but those small prayers where my mind was on Him and my need for Him was summed up with "help me Lord." Though I was worn down physically my emotions could be all over the board. One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You because he trusts in You." When my mind was fixed on the Lord, when His Word flowed over me I found that place of great comfort.

Thanks for your prayers and support for Susan, my family and me. Love you.

Hold fast

Mike

This is great news...and you didn't even mention this when we talked last night. (I'm sorry I didn't ask either)
I did come home and read the prayer of Jabez...very cool!
