Overwhelmed

Last night was Mike's full night back at Celebrate Recovery. I was overwhelmed with the love and support shown to us. It makes my head spin to be in the midst of so much love. When Mike went up to announce the movie clip for the night, the crowd stood and cheered. Calling out his name and yelling I love you to him, I stood in the back and tears rolled down my cheeks. I imagine that is how entering heaven is going to be, only on HUGE scale. Cheering, yelling, celebrating the arrival of every loved one. How great that day will be! But to experience it here on earth gives us a lift that we can't describe.
WOW......wouldn't it be great if we all got that kind of reception everyday? We'd all feel so special and I bet we'd float through the day. Well you ARE that special to us, we wish we could yell and cheer for everyone one of you. You make our life amazing. It is your love that keeps us HOLDING FAST while we wait.

So thanks a lot you guys. I read this post at work and just started to cry. I'm sure my coworkers in surrounding cubicles were a bit confused as to what I found to cry about so early in the morning. What a beautiful testimony of the incredible impact you've had on so many lives. I wish I could have been there to cheer too.

The best part of Tues night, Mike, was seeing you reconnect outside of the safety of home. It's awesome to see you!

something to share with your doctors:
Subject: Three doctors
Three doctors are waiting in line to get into the pearly gates. St. Peter walks out and asks the first one, "What have you done to enter Heaven?" "I am a pediatrician and have brought thousands of the Lord's babies into the world." "Good enough to enter the gates," replied St. Peter and in he goes. The same question is asked of the second doctor. "I am a general practioner and go to Third World countries three times a year to cure the poor." St. Peter is impressed and allows him through the gates. The third doctor steps up in line and knowing the question, blurts out, "I am a director of a HMO."
St. Peter meditates on this for a while and then says, "Fine, you can enter Heaven...but only for 2 days."

Sounds incredible! I went to Kits homecoming at hope when he drove by Hope Chapel! It was awesome, powerful, loving, emotional. Sounds like you got the same!! Isn't God amazing!! The glory of God was shown through the love of our Christian Soldiers!! Wish I could have seen it!

P.S. The strangest thing happened when I was reading your blog and the comments. Over the speakers on my computer was back ground "noise". Someone was making sloppy joes and there were kids around. Funny thing, but now I know what I'm doing for dinner!
