Wish we had good news to share with you regarding the way Mike feels, but he feels HORRIBLE. We'll spare you all the gory details of the horrible, but are so thankful to be home where we can spread out and Mike can spit in peace.
Today is one of those days where we are clinging to the goodness of GOD and trusting in His sovereignty, taking one hour at a time. Of course we should be doing that everyday, but unfortunately we don't often remain there.
The blessings of cancer today? experiencing the love of our friends. The love and support we receive is overwhelming. We are often moved to tears because of the love of others, and today was one of those days. Thank you for loving us! we are so grateful in our every thought of you!

Dear Mike and Susan

Tonight we will pray for comfort, for God to take the pain away, for peaceful rest and that tomorrow will be a great day for you both with the Lord holding you firmly in his loving arms.

Keeping the Faith,

Still praying for you buddy.
In the mean time we are getting ready to come home. Our flight is the 27th but it looks like I am going to have to extend, maybe a month. I wont have the registrations on the Hummers done till probably the day before. The bike is done and the weather is incredible and seems to get better every day. It is actually a shame to leave now. If we could just get someone to pick up Adam in New York.
I heard something the other day that is a keeper, "It is better to be an ordinary man with an extraordinary life than the other way around". At some point it is the lucky man that realizes that just being alive is extraordinary. Bits and pieces of grace seem to come randomly and are sometimes randomly absent. It is like working at that 7-11 store when I was a kid, something always seems to be coming in no matter how little but it is enough to keep you busy. It is good to see you count your blessings in this difficult time. It is really a big deal. It is a blessing for all of us that are praying for you. It is the difference of you leading this recovery instead of us having to push you into it by reminding you of your blessings. Besides, on the lighter note, if you don't appreciate what you have, how can you appreciate more?
My day is starting here as it is midnight your time. Rest well.
I am going to have to take these guys back to the beach again. They are probably going to point out every outrageous thing, oh well. Adam didn't want to come here; now he doesn't want to leave.
Take care you guys,
Lodes
