They say that the treatment is accumulative, and that Mike is going to progressively feel worse every day until he hits about 60-70 days( remember we are on day 4), then he will begin to feel better relatively quickly. I can't even imagine and yet I believe it will be good for us. A perfect time "to practice the secret of being content in any and every circumstance", and a time for us to "be diligent to enter into His rest", it's one day at a time, and a time of sinking into our Lord and abiding in Him. We are staying in today, letting tomorrow be tomorrow, and are thankful for yesterday, the peace of our Lord has us covered.
Thank you for your encouraging words, prayers, love, and calls....everyone of them makes a difference and lifts us up.
We are excited to go home this weekend! Yahoo!!
Love, Susan

Remember Mike GOD gave you an encouraging word just before you were made aware this trial was headed your way. Hang on to that word. I love you Bro! We lifted you & Susan up to the LORD @ bible study tonight. We are all with you all the way!!!

We're praying for complete healing. Keep us posted.
Susan, you're a wonderful wife!
Due to the recent move, this is the first night I've had internet access. Wow!! Even in this you guys continue to give of yourselves by sharing your daily challenges and victories - and by bringing glory to God by claiming His promises, His faithfulness and His goodness - even when things don't seem to make sense and obviously don't feel good. You've taught me a lot Susan in the last 10 months - one of the things is the power of prayer. I'm praying tonight - Yep! I really do listen (surprise). Congrats on 1 week down and Welcome Home!!

I have been praying daily for both of you. We love you guys and think of you often. May God continue to strengthen you and give you encouragement.
It was great running into Susan at the nail salon last week. Susan, you are an inspiration. In addition to ministering to me, I know you ministered to the lady sitting behind me who was listening to our conversation.
Here are the lessons I told you about that I learned from studying Daniel recently. There are three different scenarios when people of God face fiery trials - Mike you are in a fiery trial - duh!
1. We can be delivered FROM the fire. The Dividend - our faith is BUILT.
2. We can be delivered THROUGH the fire. The Dividend - our faith is REFINED.
3. We can be delivered BY the fire into His arms. The Dividend - our faith is PERFECTED.
Our prayer for Mike is that he will be delivered through the fire.
As Steven Curtis Chapman sings - you are on a Great Adventure - God is beside you all the way. NO, He is carrying you!
Love, Rex and Nancy
