SURF'S UP!!

My good friend Steve Nickens in action!!

WE ARE READY TO ROLL!! We have been trying to get the start date for radiation treatment moved up from the May 1st date they gave us last week. In addition, Chemotherapy was scheduled to start May 5th. We've just been hanging out waiting, then late this afternoon we got the call that both treatments will start this coming Monday, April 28th. It is an answer to prayer!

It's a trip but we are excited to be going to Stanford for treatment. The doctors and staff are awesome. Plenty aloha!! They are so nice, it's like going to a 5-star resort (well not quite). Both Susan and I are very grateful to be going there.

We covet your prayers.

Ti `kahnees Michael,

Did you know that your name means.."Who is like God"? God will never forsake Himself, so He will never forsake you.

"You have made known to me the paths of life,
You will fill me with joy in Your presence." Acts 4:28

Well, I hope for you to visit me here in Cypress...

Yassou,
Sophis

Oh, one more thing...

A woman got on a bus holding a baby. The bus driver said, "That's the ugliest baby I've ever seen."

In a huff, the woman slammed her fare into the fare box and took an aisle seat near the rear of the bus.

The man seated next to her sensed that she was agitated and asked her what was wrong.

"The bus driver insulted me," she fumed.

The man sympathized and said, "Why, he's a public servant and shouldn't say things to insult passengers."

You're right," She said. "I think I'll go back up there and give him a piece of my mind."

"That's a good idea," the man said. "Here, let me hold your monkey."

Hi Mike...so glad to hear the chemo gets the green light tomorrow. You are in our prayers Mike. May the Lord continue to encourage and strengthen you as you fight this battle, and may He give you victory over every discouragement.

Love and Aloha to you and Susan,

kali mera (Good morning)Michael and Susan,

As you go this morning, I pray that you will feel the Lord's presence so close, there will be no doubts.

"He that dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty". Ps 91:1

Our love and prayers are with you two.
Yassou!!

P.S. An 8-year-old girl went to her dad, who was working in the yard. She asked him, "Daddy, what is sex?" The father was surprised that she would ask such a question, but decides that if she is old enough to ask the question, then she is old enough to get a straight answer. He proceeded to tell her all about the "birds and the bees." When he finished explaining, the little girl was looking at him with her mouth hanging open. The father asked her, "Why did you ask this question?" The little girl replied, "Mom told me to tell you that dinner would be ready in just a couple of secs."

Mike-
Your humor is so refreshing. You always know how to bring a smile to a person's face. I'm seriously praying for you, that beautiful wife of yours and the rest of the family. You have a whole team behind you. Maui loves you, Mike! God bless you.
Aloha,
Lendy

Hi Mike and Susan, You're so far away but so close in my heart. I'm watching your progress daily and praying for you both all day. We love you and pray it will be over quickly and just a memory behind you, an experience you can use to comfort others with, a part of your lives the Lord allowed so He could turn you into diamonds. I love this part of Psalm 33 and hope it comforts you:
We depend on the Lord alone to save us.
Only He can help us, protecting us like a shield.
In Him our hearts rejoice,
for we are trusting in His holy name.
Let Your unfailing love surround, Lord,
for our hope is in you alone." v. 20-22
I know He's holding your hands and He'll never let you go. Lots of love, Cathy
