Not enough time

This is Hoku, Susan's cousin. We are her guardians and the original reason we came to Maui. When we lived here Susan would come down to spend time with her during the week and then we would see her on the weekends. She had no seen us since February and though she is severely developmentally disabled she must have missed us alot. Sam would visit her in our absence but the workers at the group home she lives in said it was not the same. Though she does not speak she says so much.

We were in Maui and then we were not. Like the Kona winds, here one day gone the next. It was amazing to be back on island and so incredible to see so many friends. There just wasn't enough time to see and hang with everyone. In a lot of cases all we got was a hug and a few words and we were off. It was like trying to fit a whole life into 10 days. The love, prayers and support we have received from our Maui ohana has blessed us beyond words. We love you guys and miss you!

I am going to Stanford next Monday for my next "every six week" check-up. I have been having some issues on my tongue and in my throat. Please pray that it is just normal residuals of the treatments that I have had.

A hui hou!
