home sweet home

WE're back in Modesto for the weekend. Today is our daughter Rachel's birthday.  25! Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, happy birthday we love you, happy birthday to youuuuuu.
Yesterday the Lord gave me the gift of energy and feeling good. It was nice. I liked it a lot.
Then, I woke up this morning and the pain was at a new level in my throat. It feels like it's on fire. Each day holds something new, both good and bad.
For today it is great to be home and I am praying that I can make it to church tonight. It would feel good to be there. At my brother in laws home is a sign saying "whining $5 surcharge". The motto of today is "no whining". I want to whine and complain at the mere thought of having to drink 7 BOOST drinks each day. Yet, I am very grateful for them also.
Pray, pray, pray for the pain in my throat. I really do not want to take pain medication if it can be avoided (the doctors say that it can't be), I am praying for another way. Please pray with us that God would relieve the pain and that I would look forward to drinking my next BOOST.
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful"
Hebrews 10:23

Will pray for the pain in your throat buddy. You know, I kind of feel silly at this point in my life not having had more prayer in my life. Enjoy the boost. Thanks for the inspiration. Hello to your lovely wife; you got lucky there.

Hi Mike -

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Susan. I pray along side you both and everyone else for complete healing from the cancer and, the God given strength to avoid pain medications. You are such an inspiration!

Aloha Mike,
I'm praying for you with all my heart. The God's word is trustfull.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and FUTURE.. then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all you heart. I WILL BE FOUND BY YOU, declares the Lord, and will BRING YOU BACK FROM CAPTIVITY. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you, declares the Lord, and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile".(Jeremiah 29:11-14).
Be strong, because the Lord is with you.
Susan, I loved your hair cut. You are soooo pretty.
I love you and I'll never forget all you have done for us.
With peace and love

The Lord honors your faith, and He has gifted us with your example, Mike and Susan. Sam preached another great message Friday. Kit is coming home on Sunday! Will be praying for you,
