Hearts in one accord

Mike and I are reading in the books of Acts. This morning as Mike rested and listened to me read to him, I was again reminded of the comfort of the Lord and His peace when we are focused on Him. When I read the word to Mike a peace comes over his face and the furrow in his brow of discomfort smoothes. I too feel the same peace wash over me, and watching Mike rest brings me a peace and comfort that is so sweet. God's word is true and His promises He always keeps.
" You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. Because he trusts in You" Isaiah 26:3
The book of Acts speaks over and over of praying, unity, and being in "one accord". Thank you for being in one accord with us in prayer and love, standing together.
Mike is really sick from the chemo and very constipated from all the treatment. He feels miserable and weak, but I can say that he is a trooper and we are still finding things to laugh about. When life comes down to not barfing and poop, everything  becomes funny.
Every day I watch him walk this out, I love him all the more,  I  am experiencing the integrity and character of my husband in very difficult times. He is such a wonderful man. Thank you for everything!
Pray for sleep tonight, we are very tired! Mike says Hi, and sent a wave.
Love, Susan and Mike too

Hi Mike and Susan...sitting here praying for your needs this morning. Your courage and faith are inspiring, to say the least. You two are the perfect picture of taking lemons and making lemonade! May the Lord continue to sustain you both, and answer every need for each day.

Our love to you, Joe and Karen

Ola you two....

Todays joke:

Two elderly women were out driving in a large car, both women barely large enough to see over the dashboard.

As they cruised along, they came to an intersection. The stoplight was red, but they just went right on through.

The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself, "I must be losing it, I could have sworn we just went through a red light."

After a few more minutes, they came to another intersection, the light was red, and again they went right through.

This time, the passenger was almost sure that the light had been red, but was also concerned that she might be seeing things.

She was getting nervous, and decided to pay very close attention.

At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was definitely red, and they went right through it.

She turned to the other woman and said, "Mildred! Did you know we just ran through three red lights in a row? You could have killed us!"

Mildred turned to her and said,
"Oh my goodness! Am I driving?

Maybe if you really laugh it will help "move things". ....

I am in constant prayer for you....

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand".
Is 41:10

Let those words cover you tonight..I pray for a sound and peaceful sleep for you both.

Hugs.
Sophia

Hi M & S,
Haven't been here in a few so thought I'd pop in. Dang, Mike, I'm sure sorry to hear you're all bunged up! Don't know which (if either) is worse than the other, your prob or having irritable bowel and walking around with your butt brakes on! Both are pretty bad! I felt a little melancholy today and just reading your blog I get lifted up and encouraged. You two rock the casbah, bebe! Jesus, please bless my friends, Mike & Susan, with joy unspeakable and meet their needs, and especially Mike's at the porcelain throne. Amen! Love you both dearly!
